PI LIONS PROJECTS

 

The Lions Club has a history of successful projects: the PI Library, the Bottle Recycling Program, new decking, stairs and railings at Beacon House to name a few. As we continue to improve our community we will provide information about our projects on this page.

BOTTLE/CAN RECYCLING PROGRAM

The PI Lions Bottle and Can Recycling Program is an important fundraising activity.  The funds collected from this program assist the Lions Club in maintaining Beacon House.

What can you recycle and where are the drop off points? Here is the information.

PI PARK MAINTENANCE

Protection Island is graced with a number of trails and parks. The PI Lions Club assists the city in maintaining these areas.

MEDICAL AID LOAN PROGRAM

We have several items available for short term use to assist those in need.  Please contact Sandra Nisbet or call Sharie Biller 250-740-1156 for further information.  Our current inventory can be viewed here

BEACON HOUSE MAINTENANCE/ RENOVATIONS

 The PI Lions along with the City of Nanaimo maintain Beacon House. Our Club has added the deck, plants and maintains the gardens, updated the wheelchair access and renovated the downstairs to create a room for our Library.  These are a few of the works that the Lions have completed. PI LIONS EVENT PLANNING

The Lions Club plans and hosts a number of activities and events throughout the year.  All our public and many private events such as weddings, birthday parties, memorials, fundraisers, workshops, Childrens Christmas Party, Adult Halloween Party, Murder Mystery Nights, and Dances are held at Beacon House.
